Submit for our Understudy Auditions!

Audition Dates

Submissions are due no later than Monday, March 31st

How?

Please fill out this Google Form (which includes the link to your video audition) by Monday, March 31st.

Preparation

Please prepare any monologue, not exceeding 60 seconds, that you are very familiar with and give three different performances (these do NOT need to be performed in one take). The total length of your video should be no longer than 4 minutes. The first: Perform as you would for any open call audition. We want to see your acting chops as they are. The second: Perform as if you’re in a soap opera. The third: Perform as if you're fighting off/avoiding a horde of wild animals in the jungle.

We are looking for earnest performances that highlight committed, physical choices that differentiate your characters and showcase your ability to play sincerely. The best thing you can do is to take these prompts seriously and to not play “at” them.

Compensation

$850, plus $25 put-in performance rate. Understudies are also invited to fully participate in all Commedia and physical trainings that are offered during the rehearsal process.
